To qualify for Spain's Non-Lucrative Visa in 2026, applicants must meet several requirements:

1. Nationality

You must be a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen.

2. Passive Income

The Non-Lucrative Visa requires proof of ongoing, stable passive income from outside Italy — such as pensions, rental income, dividends, interest, or similar recurring revenue.

Starting in 2026, the minimum passive income requirement is:

  • Main applicant: €28,800 per annum

  • Each additional dependent child: €7,200 per annum

Qualifying passive income can include rental income, pensions, dividends, interest, investment income, returns from stocks and bonds, trust distributions, royalties, and other regular, verifiable passive earnings, provided the income is stable, recurring, and legally sourced.

  • Clean criminal record and background checks are required
