Eligiblity Criteria

To qualify for the D7 Visa in 2026, applicants must meet several requirements:

1. Nationality

You must be a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen.

2. Income Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate stable, regular remote income earned outside Portugal.

As of 2026, the minimum income requirement is generally set at 4× Portugal’s national minimum wage, which equates to approximately:

  • €3,680 per month for the main applicant

  • €11,040 in savings for the main applicant

  • Higher thresholds apply when including family members

Exact figures may vary slightly depending on consulate interpretation and household size.
