Built on Experience, Not Promises
Program Overview
The Greece Financially Independent Person (FIP) Visa is a residency option for non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals who can demonstrate that they have stable and sufficient income or savings to support themselves and their dependents without working in Greece. It is a viable route for retirees, passive income earners, remote professionals, and anyone seeking long-term European residency without local employment.
This visa leads to legal residency in Greece and provides a structured pathway toward temporary residency, permanent residency, and Greek citizenship, subject to eligibility and legal requirements.
Eligiblity Criteria
To qualify for the Greece FIP Visa, applicants must demonstrate either stable passive income from outside Greece or sufficient savings to support themselves and their family for the duration of their stay.
1. Passive Income Route
You must show consistent passive income such as:
Pensions
Rental income
Dividends and interest
Investment returns
Other recurring passive earnings
The minimum requirement is:
Main applicant: €3,500 per month
Spouse: +20% (€700 additional per month)
Each dependent child: +15% (€525 additional per month)

All income must be verifiable through bank statements, pension statements, investment account statements, or other formal documentation
2. Savings Route (Alternative)
Alternatively, enough savings to last for the duration of the three-year visa:
€126,000 in savings for main applicant
€151,200 for a married couple or
€189,000 for a family of four
Your savings must be:
Held in recognised financial institutions
Readily accessible
Fully documented with bank statements
This route is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
